[Need Help] Cleaning a fish tank, I have a problem...

    I agree. I used CLR and all sorts of things on that 225 I was doing. you can run straight vinegar on it without any issues. Get a good razor and have at it. amazing what a razorblade and vinegar can do.

    you can also use a scotchbrite pad too..

    Thanks guys. Looks live of got to go the store tomorrow.

    In regards to whomever suggested buying a new tank...I could, but I am just trying to use what I have before buying more.

    Holy crap! I didn't know vinegar could warp the tank trim like that. ;D

    Seano - You may end up spending more than this trying to clean up an old tank that may end up leaking. You might want to consider this option.

    :confused: The tank isn't & hasn't ever leaked. I had it a while back & let it o bad(I know I shouldn't have). That's why there's that scum on it. I just need to get some vinegar & something to scrub/scrape with.

    Oh & the seems still look good as new. I think the tank is like 15 yrs old.
