    Hey Everyone,

I'm playing around with the idea of retrofitting my 29g Biocube with Rapid LED's. Just need some thoughts on the color mix. I will have 2 dimmable channels (Labelled A & B), which you can see below in the diagram. Please let me know what you think of the color selection and arrangement!

    Do this:
    12 RB
    6 NW
    4 TV
    2 CB
If you want you could decrease numbers all around and add a few OCW's.

why not cool white? I very much dislike units without cool white and it seems that neutral white is more of "accent" such as blue

    am I missing something?

NW have a much better spectrum, and CW often give off a "Icy blue" look. However NW with RB will cause a weird look, so CB is used.

I've seen units using NW also using a few CW's to balance the look, that could also be done.

I tried to base my mix off of Rapid LED's Onyx fixture- but mine has a little bit more color variation. They use primarily a mix of RB and CW. I've heard that NW has very little usable light for corals due to the wavelengths it produces.

I have used NW and CW for my aquarium, which makes a better look, I do not know about other suggestions, but I can say that this combination is also very good. I can say that, if you are confused about the selection, then go for this.
