need advice on caulerpa algae

    Image0144[1].jpg Image0142[1].jpg hi there i brought a hand full of caulerpa algae and i put it in my main tank the shop said it would be fine just keep an eye on its growth.my tangs have been pecking at it and it does look nice but iv been reading up on other theads about it taking over and even dieing and messing up the tank is it ok to have ? and is it ok where i put it.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Personally I would try some other algae like chaeto. Caulerpa is just too invasive and once it takes hold in a tank with live rock it can be very very difficult to remove. I think it is beautiful but I never keep it anymore. It can also go sexual and case a complete crash of the system. The tang would probably be better off eating nori anyway.
