I found these critters on my glass using a magnification lens and have no idea what they are. I know the pictures are not very good but these things made copepods look like they're large!

The first pic is blurry BUT you get a better profile of the legs (left side of pic) and the second is more clear (kinda....) giving you a better idea of the body.

They walk exactly like crabs, sideways. Body is complete jet black regardless of light introduction, with a slightly translucent edge (reminiscent of a crab shell) and the legs are clear. I have researched marine mites and have not found a match. Could these be tiny (and I mean freakin tiny!) crabs? I guess it wouldn't be unheard of...

    Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Great job on the pics, I have no idea. You might be on the right track with them being mites.

They're so small. It was sooooooo hard getting an even semi-discernible pic, lol.

I enlarged your picture and increased the resolution a bit, I'll post it up in a sec.

Well I think I'm still on the hunt for what these are. I've looked through the pics of black bugs and mine aren't nearly that large. I also don't have any SPS but not sure if that matters.
I did some more looking and the anatomy is very different.
