Ok so I have had the skimmer installed since thursday and I bought it new. It's still not producing foam, what could be the problem? I've opened it up and have looked at all the parts and evrything seems to be fine

Is the blue valve above water? If its sucking up water then it won't produce bubbles.

Yes, it's about an inch above water.

Okay well for a test open (counter-clockwise) the blue valve a far as it can go. Listen for air and look for bubbles, if you hear air then we know the airline is not kinked. If you hear nothing then your airline is getting kinked somewhere. You can do all of these tests outside the tank in a bucket of saltwater if you would like. For best results you can use wast water. I did a mod to my Tunze and used a bucket of waste water from a water change to dial in my skimmer.

The skimmer is sooooo much better! It's actually making foam now but the skimmer cup fills up pretty fast with clear water. I'm guessing I just have to wait a little longer for it to break in right?

This is the best nano skimmer I ever met. Maybe dial back the bubbles a bit to slow the rate of extraction, then wait.
