he's losing his color what is going on is he ok?
looks pale compared to the other day
del prob solved (bad lighting sorry I freaked out
r u sure... ive had a hippo that turned white due to stress before
well with the lights off in the room and the tank lights on he looks a little pale but with the lights on in the room he looks fine.
most noticeable on yellow tangs.... they get pale white in the dark... when lights on right away it takes a min for them to be normal color again.
good pic of him/her here hopefully he's ok if he isn't everyone in the tank is dead and I LOVE my fish esp my clowns.
are you feeding him nori/seaweed... sailfins love it and it helps with color.
My clownfish does this at night sometimes, but when morning comes and the lights come on; poof! Color!
Usually when tangs turn pale, it is a direct result of not eating enough "greens". Make sure you are feeding him algae or seaweed. Mine prefer the green algae in garlic.
My Tangs lighten in color when I turn the lights off. But the moment they are with the lights on they brighten up very vibrant. Just make sure their veggie diet is met and you should be good to go.
