My skimmerless goal

    A screen can last about 6 hours without any flow. If that does happen it should be cleaned/harvested and put back online to recover.

    For coral food... 30 minutes, once a week! Ha! SantaMonica built a food chiller/doser that continually feeds the tank a few ml's very few seconds. Not saying that's what you have to do... But you can feed very liberally when you have a fully matured algae scrubber.

    oH, i know it can handle the waist!!

    I'm thinking more of the time with no flow. If I hook them to my return, I typically have turned my returns off when I feed my corals... The feed timer is 30 minutes. I was just making sure that wouldn't sour the screen.

    30 minutes every week with zero flow shouldn't do much to the screen... but it's not ideal. It maybe worth asking around but I believe it should be fine.

    Hmm... I may just run the return instead.. I mean.. It's really not a big deal if I don't make it one lol.
