Aww shucks...That is very nice of you. I need my head examined I just purchased 16 more Nascar kits on Ebay. They average out at about $11.00 a kit.Pretty good deal as some go for as high as $25.00.Got some good ones like Dale Jr.,Matt Kenseth,Jeff Gordon,Elliot Sadler, and Richard Petty.Guess this thread is going to set a record for size by the time I am done.LOL;D

Noob quesiton here, but can you take us through how you build one of these models? How many parts? Sticker decals or hand painting everything? I'm finding this fascinating... :)

First step is to wash the body parts in mild detergent, rinse and let air dry.I then glue the hood on as well as the front fairing and grilles. It is then ready for a coat of primer.

In this case I assembled the chasis, engine, and suspension before painting. Typically I would have painted the parts first with the respective colors but these kits do not fit together that well and glueing painted parts can be challenging. Also I glue the hoods shut and they go in the case which makes detailing the engine moot.Since the interiors are not very visible I just spray them a semi gloss black acrylic and add the seatbelt decals later.;)

Heres the completed chasis except the valve covers and aircleaner.

Chasis, windows (taped with Tamiya masking tape) and rims sprayed semi gloss black.

I then sprayed the Purple.Using a decal as a guide I determined where the colors would line up then taped it off. This will make it much easier to cover the rear of the car in yellow.

    Cool!
You use an airbrush for the other colors? If so, a pic of it would be nice.
