I'm excited that I have finally set up my LED's on my aquarium. I replaced my 6 T5HO setup (all ATI's) and purchased 2 LED units at 120 watts each.

These have 40 CREE 3 watt LEDS in each unit and are hung just using plant hangars from Home Depot ($14 total) Nice and cheap hahaha. ;D

Each unit came with a timer to operate the white or blue leds. Originally I had a bad timer and had to contact my sales rep, Elva, about it. She quickly shipped me a new timer after doing a quick trouble shooting on skype...so I admit the customer service is much better than I anticipated. In fact, during the whole building process, she was kind enough to send me pictures of the progress of them being built.

These LEDS arrived in great condition after coming all the way from China!! Considering I've had things shipped within the same state come to my house looking like someone played football with the package, it's saying a lot! hahaha.

Here's some pics of my tank along with the lights and timers!

I'm really hoping to be able to keep SPS coral with these lights. With my T5HO, I had to keep all the SPS at the top of the tank. I've moved some of the corals lower and they seem happy so far!

Let me know what you guys think! You guys have all been great in helping me ID all my 'Strange' occupants!!

I need to better organize the wires and everything but for now, it's up and working!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks! Cheap and easy. I liked that option a lot better than hanging something from the ceiling. I just made sure to get wall anchors that supported the weight. Now hopefully I will be able to keep SPS corals. I'll get some coral shots up here later.

It appears they are not dimmable? Are there any optics on the diodes?

If these are truely 3W CREEs running at full power, be cautious and make sure you acclimate your tank to the new light level. You'll easily bleach everything if you don't.

    Thanks everyone!!

@Strickland - They are units from BSLED. Link to the info below

@Evolved - Correct, they are not dimmable. I heard that the dimmable LEDs shorten the lifespan so I went without. I'm not really sure if they are truly CREE other than that's what I put in the order and they confirmed they would be CREE. ANy good way to truly tell? Also, thanks for the tip about bleaching...paid too much money to destroy my corals.

@Insanespain - link below to where I got them.

@Atticus818 - It was hard really finding any info about someone keeping corals long term under LEDs...I'm hoping it turns out good too. I've noticed my fish tend to hide a little more. Not sure if they don't like the intense light or what.
