My lights just came in!!!

    They are really good lights. Just be prepared for super growth. And hopefully you won't get the bubbles like I have now.

    Those bubbles are probably from a thin layer of algae on rocks that are making the bubble "stick to it".

    Hmm, so are these algaes pulling oxygen out of the water that would otherwise be breathed by my fishes?

    no. just some micro bubbles in water getting stuck to algae :)

    If the bubbles are from algae they would be oxygen made by the algae photosynthesizing water and CO2

    I just had the exact same lights (48" 760w) come in yesterday and so far I've been completely impressed especially for the price. Some may think you need to replace the ballast and bulb but IMO not entirely necessary, tho when I need to replace mine I'll def upgrade them.
