    Well my light on the tank is a 70w mh clamp lamp, it's about 8 inches above the water and luckily it reaches the fuge. So thats what I use.

    Awesome...I just set up a Picotope, and upgraded my lighting, so I have the original light for a Fuge. I will be incorporating this into my tank in the near future!!! Thanks!

    I'm looking to do this mod, the only thing I have left to decide on is how to light it. Would something like this work?

    (I know they are ricey strobe lights, but if I were to cut out the strobe module, and wire them to run constantly, it would provide 6w worth of white light.)
