The first Turkey, I usually do 2 or more, each one onloy takes about 42minutes cooking time.

Got to enjoy nice 70f weather ice cold beer while the family fried 2 Turkey's and smoked one.
    It was good yum yum

I've been doing this for about 4 years, right after I had my first bite of deep fried turkey, there was no turning back. I inject but I also brine my turkey for 24hrs prior.

I had a pretty awesome fried Cajun turkey, prime rib, and Cajun buffet last night at Copeland's. I probably ate more than I should in a week, but oh well :p

    That sounds Great!

I have smoked a Turkey before too, but it's easier to fry in this 26degree weather than try and keep my smoker at 250F using wood for 6 hours.
I always used Mesquite wood, easy to find in Texas- but nearly impossible and/or it's way too exspensive here in the Miwaukee area.
The same goes for Live Crawfish too!

Man I am still stuffed, but that bird looks great Todd. Kudos to you for pulling that off when it was 25 degrees out!
That is the right attitude to have when cooking. :)

Thanks Matt! Yea, it wasn't that bad, the Homebrew beer helps- it'd help more if it was warm beer though! ;-)
