I've been Cajun Deep Drying Turkey for well over 15 years now.

My Turkeys are thawed- in the frig.
I have them injected with my homemade spicy Cajun liquid seasoning.
I've injected all thru with about 32ozs. of some spicey homemade mix.

Gotta get the Fryer- 100%Peanut oil up to temp, which is hard to do when it's 25F outside!

This afternoon- we'll be eating some good stuff.

I've you've never had Cajun Deep fried turkey- you really don't know what you're missing. Deep fried turkey is OK too, but when the meat is injected and marinated inside with what ever flavor you like- it's awesome!

    Happy Turkey Day!
Ya know Thankgiving was actually started on that Pilgrim who keep all the journals about the Mayflower folks, and the vitrues of owning Private Property and the free market system, and how so much more got done when people strived to get ahead. Way back then- it's in his journals.

My mom and grandma are both from New Orleans, so they know how to make a good fried turkey, usually accompanied by some roast beef po boys :D I'm gonna enjoy this feast. I'm loving New Orleans as well. Happy Turkey Day to everyone!!

Todd do I really have to post:

Thread useless with pictures. I want to see a picture of said Turkey please. Frying a Turkey sounds dangerous.

    Sounds yummy.

Alright, sounds like my kinda bird! I would invite you out here next year to make some next year, though I have a feeling the TSA may consider the fryer an improvised explosive device :)

With that kind of heat, and fire potential, it's best outside, even in 26F weather!

    Nice!

I'll see what I can do. And no, I bought the fryer system. It's a big propane cooker for just about anything. Came in real handy when we had to cook in the Hurricane Katrina Power outs in Houston TX.
