How much flow is too much for mushrooms. I have some hairy mushrooms and they are constantly moving in the current. They are fully open most of the time, but occasionally they will be retracted a bit. And sometimes it seems like they are getting blown away, but it could just be me. Should I move them to a low flow area or am I okay, do they like to move in the current?

    thanks

I have some in moderate flow rates and a couple a low flow area. It does not seem to bother them at all. I did have one in a high flow area once but I didn't like the way it looked, so I moved it. I also have a giant mushroom that expands during the day as the tank warms and contracts slightly at night. I believe this is normal behavior... Hope this helps.

It is normal behavior, but the flow should be so strong that the mushrooms are being pushed around, if you know what I mean.

Low to medium flow is best.
