Well, I've jumped in head first, cut the head off, split the mouth into 2, and tied them to the base, I guess it's just a waiting game from here. Is there anything else I can do from here like supplements that will help them or are they hardy enough to just leave alone for a month....

I feel like I cut the head too close to the base.....as I can see the mouth worms sticking out.....

I would add extra magnesium to the tank so they will grow quicker.

I'll test my Mag to see if it needs adding, if so then I'll definitely do that,

Thanks lynn, I was hoping I didn't Chop the thing down so low that it wouldn't come back. I didn't realize there were, what I would perceive as, organs and active bodies inside this little tube that I just cut. Once I opened it up it became a whole new realization to me. As well as how it retracted when harmed, it always moves so slow in the tank but once cut it quickly retracts and seems more animal like. Man!! I love this.......lol

Didn't add any Mag, as that doesn't pertain to soft corals, I did some more research. Just some Instant Ocean Reef Accelerator as a precaution, but I really don't think I needed that, these little guys are resilient.

    Looking good. :)

FWIW, any fragment of a mushroom will grow into a whole new animal.

I've actually read while goggling, that if you place a mushroom in a blender, with your tank water, and hit the puree button, you can place the said goop into your tank and in a few weeks watch many times mushrooms begin to spawn. I've yet to even attempt this.

Very interesting. If you do attempt this, then I'm curious to know if it works. I wouldn't trust it myself though, lol
