    If it's a monti cap you're speaking of, select the portion you wish to frag and carefully snap it off, or use a coral frag tool (bone cutter/scissor or the like). Once it's free, you can use superglue gel, or aquarium epoxy to affix it to a rock, and place it first at mid-height, (if it's coming from a different tank) and gradually move it up as close to the lights as you find it will tolerate. IME, the closer, the better, and the more it will maintain, or color up. These SPS corals like all the flow and all the light you can throw at them.

    Yep, just snap a piece right off and you have a frag. For the encrusting monti, just chisel some off a rock. Very easy corals to frag.

    yup, i take mine out of the tank and drop it on the ground lol then glue all the pieces to some rubble and im good to go hahahah but really just break it off
