I wonder if that'll help previously shaded areas get more light?
Weren't you saying something about wanting more movement out of your sps? ;-)
I'm just envious b/c the one I had over a year ago, about 2/3's that size, was 90% lost to MEN's!
I would like to suggest putting a 'shim/rock' under one side as long as it's stable that way to keep if from 'a rocking'
And I just can't quit thinking about a 'Loose Canon'!
Flow has been fine, no need to change or add it. I had thought about shimming it. I have a water change tomorrow, while in the tank, I will look to see if this is feasible. Loose canon is a good way of putting it.
So it appears that the coral is still attached to the rock, the rock is small though and the weight of the coral caused the rocking. I wedge a couple rocks near it and appears to do the trick.
I would do the same as long as there is no algae growth on the area of tissue recession along the break. They are super growers!
As mentioned it didnt break. The rock that it is attached to is very small compared to the coral. The weight of the coral was causing the rock to rock (no pun intended). I was able to wedge a couple rocks near it that kept it from moving. Seems to have done the trick.
