Hey y'all, I have a question on modding a dual media reactor on pump size.

I'm converting an inline (BRS) to a more controlled (Spectrapure style). I am working with what I have, and I think I've seen a few others like this.
Here are my notes, brs dual reactor mod notes

It's basically using ball valves to control flow to each reactor.

The big question, what kind of pump would be good to push this? I'm fresh out of pumps, so any suggestion is out there!

I will have about 70-80 gallons with DT and sump. Just in case that is a question. Any other suggestions are more than welcome!

    Thanks!

With the top they scre into I dont think you will have enough space for that. I just cut mine apater no biggie. You could cut them then drill holes in the rim and bolt on an extender it you want to keep them a solid unit though. Lastly, it might be cheaper to just get the specrapure unit.

As far as I can tell, here that I just have to add my flux capacitor to the front and a Y to the back and bada bing, one pump pushing two seperate reactors.

Now how big of a pump would I need?

    Thanks!

Yeah, that's mine in the picture. I could cut the bracket in half no problem, I guess I don't see where it's going to be a tight fit.

ok, I found the picture that inspired me. I would buy this if I didn't have a dual reactor already sitting around. dual reactor

I also found that they sell this with an MJ1200, about 300 gph of flow. I'm assuming they know more than me on this... so I will go with that, unless anyone else has a different opinion?? But that never happens... hahaha

    Thanks!

ok, so I got off my duff and got this mod going again. I finally got the fittings I need. I still have to return a bunch I don't need :-[ haha. oh well.

This is just a dry fit to see it all together. The back will just have the 90º fittings to the wye adapter to one hose back into the system.

Thanks for looking! I'm almost ready to get this fired up! I got the GFO and carbon today. I just need to get my maxi functional.

    Looks good Matt.

You're missing the bottle of beer in the picture- for a size reference on course!
