I wanted to know---Can you pre-mix 10 tsp of pickling lime with vinegar and ro/di water in a 1 gallon container while my 5 gallon is filling, then add it to the 5 gallon container when ready--or will the 1 gallon of water become saturated and not absorb all the lime. I hope I worded that correctly. The purpose is so I dont have to keep dis-connecting my 5 gal top-off container to rinse the lime residue every 2 days--would much rather pour off the pre-mixed clear water and rinse out the sediment in the 1 gallon.
