You need to subtract what is left in the syringe from what you started with in the syringe and multiply the sum by 2000. So..

    you started with 1.0 right?
    you ended with .44 right?
you used .56 by my calculations
    so..
    .56 X 2000 = 1120
Still low but makes more sense to me now.

x2 your right my bad on the .64....

its .56 1120 mag ppm.. its low but not bad.. get it up to 1350-1400.

    get some epsom salt..

add 1 cup to 1 gallon of fresh top off water.. mix well.. slowly add to sump/tank and check mag tomorrow. only raise 100ppm a day..

to do a accurate dose, use the additive calculator..

what size tank do you have? ok 55g

    same as mine..

to raise your mag to 1400ppm you'll need 20 oz or 575 grams of epsom salt.. so dose 5-6 oz of epsom salt with topoff water today. and test each day and do this for 3-4 days and you should reach your target.

    easy

I have heard that epsom salt has down's to it on the long run :-/
So I'm going with Kent Marine Tech-M for MG, Good idea?

if you have kent mg then use that.. if your poor like me, then buy epsom salt.. Ive heard that too, but also heard some mag boosters have the same chemical makeup as epsom salt. I rarely dose mag, maybe once a month..

either one, whatever floats your boat..

if using kent 28 fluid oz is needed. so if kent m comes in a 16oz bottle, you'll need 2 bottles at $9 bucks a pieces thats $18. you can buy a 2 pound bag of epsom for probly $7. and that will last you a while.. catch me drift.

and if doing kent-m liquid, same procedure just dose 7-8 oz of liquid today and follow up tomorrow with a test and the same for 3-4 days..
