My baby maxima clam that I got from RE de-Attachted it's foot, There was just a lil piece of flesh on the rock and the clam seems fine. This happened like 1 week ago should I be worried? Or will it be fine?

If it did it on its own, then I would think it should be ok. However, clams generally de-attach themselves when they don't like where they are at, you may want to try moving it if possible.

I put mine high up in the tank where it attached, then about a month later it decided it didn't like it and moved lover. So I moved it back up and it did it again. We went through this 4 times total each time I could tell it was attached because it would stop moving with the circulation. Finally I just left it there and its been there for almost 18 months. Didn't seem any worse for wear. Funny thing is it ended up in the middle of my tank instead of up high were you would think it would like to be.

Clams can take months before showing signs of stress before they die. My maxima got knocked over by my female maroon, which ripped its abyssal gland right off. It still responded to my hand moving over it, even a month after the incident. Long story short, it took about 4 months for it to die. Just keep an eye on it, if it shows signs of distress, be prepared to remove it, or quarantine it to an area in your tank where you can easily remove it. Good luck with him.
