I've had two maxi mini anemones that have been side by side and growing and seemingly very content. I have two sexy shrimp staying in them, one per anemone. I notice the other day that one of the nems just disappeared ?? the sexy shrimp with it, I can't find them anywhere. Any ideas on why this may have happened?

I agree it's strange behavior. Like my tyree sunset montipora, it grows for a few months and has a color that glows then it dies off in 2 days flat. A little piece always survives and I watch it grow again. It's done this three times now.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Hmmm my mini-maxi only move slightly and usually to an area of more intense lighting. I had Peppermint eat all my maxi in about 72 hours after not showing any interest in the anemone for months.

Maxi minis are not big movers IME. I had one for 2.5 years and it only moved .5" or less.

    What is near it?
