As the title states, I have experience with the following car lines:

    Audi and VW
    Chrysler/Jeep
    Ford, Lincoln, Mercury
    Honda
    Nissan
    Toyota

If you need some advice feel free to ask, I will answer as best I can.

Why Am I doing this- it's a long story, but let's just say, I am tired of seeing people get burned by the local tire store types of repair shops.

Mind you, there is only so much that I can do over the internet, please keep this in mind.

not a problem, I am either gettting old, or, my conscience is telling me to do the right thing in view of what I have been seeing lately.

either way- doesn't matter, ask away- I will do my best.

Hmmm, ok, I will post something for you shortly.

    But first.

Have you any experience with this sort of thing? And do you have a lift to raise the vehicle in the air?

Oh goodie! My 2002 Vw 1.8t GTI is leaving me stranded the past few days. Lately while driving my battery light on the gauge cluster will pop on, and then all of the instruments and lights besides the battery light will go completely dead. The car still runs and blinkers work but my windows won't go up or down. Then it'll kick back on and the battery light will turn off. This happened for 3 days and then my Red Top Optima died. It's 2 years old, thought that was a little premature but i bought a new one anyway. Put that in yesterday, cleaned the terminals, and drove it twice. Today i go out to the car and it won't start.

-new battery dead after 2 short drives and 24 hours
    -alternator is 1 year old
    -battery terminals are clean
-cleaned and wirebrushed the ground under the battery
-with the car running my battery reads 14v
-turned the car off took out the key and batt still read 14v?
-problem is intermittent so i think it's some type of connection or ground, but it drains my batt
