    All hell broke loose today. He's been smacking stuff non-stop since the lights came on. Multiple ceriths have lost their lives.

    Sorry..he's keeping it all to himself in his den. I have seen him run out and grab one a couple times but that's it.

    Yeah..when he gets bigger i'll try some actual crabs..there are some hermits in there with him now though.

    A hungry mantis is an awesome mantis. An epic battle took place while I was at class. I came home to a crater in he sand about 6" in diameter with my biggest hermit crab shell cracked in half at the bottom. Pretty bummed I missed it.

    @#$@#$@!#$ holy crap! i would get a webcam, hook it up to a pc, set it to motion record, and review at the end of the day when i was bored.

    if the computers too far from the tank thats fine. ive personally used cat-5 utp to go a distance of ~100ft and i wired up my own USB connectors on each end and bwam had a webcam 100ft away from my pc to watch my garage (i had a neighbors cat that would come in and tear apart my garbage in the summertime when the garage was left open and the neighbor did not believe me... till she saw the footage!)

    obviously you dont need cat-5, but its all i had in abundance at the time. only had to use two pairs
