    so glad i don't have them! they really do look like larva of some kind, do you have a lot of them?

    Not a lot...yet. But I'm scared they're multiplying in there! I've seen about 5 floating at the top of the water line, so far.

    Eeeeeek. Maybe I discovered some new species?! And I threw them in the garbage - dangit!

    haha that would be awesome, i'm sure you'll get more.

    With you getting your kitchen redone and the tank being near could they be termites or some other kind of bug falling into the tank from all the disturbance nearby? Not sure if this is possible or not as i know nothing about termites or bugs :D

    That's a good idea, but I did notice the first one before the kitchen remodel started, and I haven't seen any around the house....so I think they are coming from the water...

    They could be an insect (larval form), its not all that uncommon when peaple return rocks that have been in storage to find that some insect or two has found the rock suitable to lay eggs in.
