Well at last, I made and installed my first refugium. One LFS wanted $250. to make one and the other wanted $100-150. So I decided to try one more LFS(target) and what do you know, they had one for $6. I think it was a no-brainer. Lets see if it works. I added a video so you guys can see how it came out. Tell me what you think and dont hold anything back. Luna

Sweet refugium. Nice plumbing work Luna. When I do mine, you gotta tell me where to get some mangroves.

How long have you had those Mangroves in there ? What I find with their use is busting A&& water flows around their rootball is best now a good slow water flow plant they have to keep their roots flushed off. I would also have put a DSB in the refugium as thats the only place to apply one . Safe from burrowing and Plants to uptake the rotting matter and decay..

LOL, I get them from the beach where I work, right from the shoreline. My LFS sells them for $7.99

Most of the mangroves are about 2 months old with the exception of one, that is about 4 months old. I dont understand what A&& means. You think I should put more sand?
