Hey guys, im worried about my lieutenant tang because he is getting really thin ( i can see his rib cage clearly now)..

i have tried almost everything and he keeps getting thinner. Not sure what else to do.

I feed: Formula 1 and 2 pellets. Formula 2 flakes, PE mysis, regular mysis, and emerald cubes ( which contain brine, spirulina, mysis, krill and some other alage). I also soak the food in garlic.

he takes a bite, spits it back out. then ignores the rest of the food. all my other fish eat the rest shortly after.

i cant think of anything that could be making my fish sick.. any ideas? and possible solutions? thanks.

Ps.. other than the refugium everything is the same. But he began slowly declining long before the move.

No visible signs of any sort of outside parasite. I thought of maybe an internal parasite, but Im not sure. I kinda wanted to come to a conclusion, and list possible reefsafe treatments i can do. However, i need people to agree of it being a likely cause.

PS. none of my other fish are showing any signs of emaciation.. Just the lieutenant tang.

Was the fish eating before, or has the fish spit out all of his food since you got it?

I had him for over 2 years now. He was a pig.. In fact, he used to eat more than all my fish put together. :-/

Hmmmm.....then im thinking some type of parasite because there is no reason for him to just stop eating the food you were feeding before. Do you have a QT?
