so i did my second waterchange this week to rid myself of my algae issue. i worked out alot of the gha and whatever the brownish stringy algae is that was on the right side of my tank. it stirred up alot of stuff in my tank. my anemone was huge when i was doing this and when i finished and refiled with new salt water a few minutes later my nem closed up tight and hasnt opened back up. its only got a few tentacles out it looks like a baseball with a few hairs lol. i tried feeding cyclops to get it to open up but no luck it opened maybe an 1/8th of the way and closed right back up :( could the temp change effect it that much? i didnt heat the new water up when i dumped the 5 gals in but my tank only dropped like 2 degrees if that. im grabbing perams in 5 mins ill have them up. i hope u guys have good news lol

How long after the water change has it been? IME, everything closes up after a water change. Pisses everything off initially, but helps in the long run.

    I wouldn't worry.

If it's still closed up tomorrow then something may be wrong.

Try to make the new water with the same params as the old water except nitrate and phosphate. That might help make it a little less upset.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Not uncommon and they can stay closed for several hours.

glad to hear this is normal i freaked. i know my tank is still a little young for a nem being 9 months old, but i dont want to flush 60$ down the drain. nor do i want my algae issues getting the best of me lol. cant wait till my skimmer comes in

Rinsing should be OK but labeling would be better.
