Can anyone what this is, why it grows and how should I get rid of it. My water chemistry is okay. No PO4. I only have 10 gallon nano.

it looks kinda like stringy cyanobacteria. cyano usually can feed on alot of stuff, my advice is just keep removing it by siphoning it out with a air hose. buy removing the bacteria your removing the nutrients locked in it eventually there wont be nutrients in the tank for it to grow. it maybe because you star died
also i don't know if your planning on getting a new one or not, but your tank is to small for it to have enough to eat so stay away from them(they really need around a 100 gallon tank to eat properly)
