I've noticed some pretty wicked live rock structures since I joined a few days ago. I was just wondering how u guys and gals build structures with live rock?

Welcome to 3REEF.:) I used base rock and reef epoxy and just sat down and kept trying different formations.

I prefer to keep as much rock off the sand as possible.

Freakin sweet vankirk, so can u get noncured live rock and build it? That way, next to live rock and over time it'll become "live". I ultimately want three rock towers with "bridges" spanning between...

Yes you can do whats called base rock, I did my whole 90 in it and let it become live over time. It just takes a bit longer.

I also used "balance" to build my structures and yes, you can use base rock with some live rock. It will all become "live" over time.

You can get a big variety of different shades depending on the kind of blue.

Those look like 14000k's in her tank...metal halide I think(shimmer on back wall)
