Sorry, It wouldn't let me upload it. But does that look normal for a live rock?

    Welcome to 3reef erock 38,

Yes it is normal to have different types of coralline algae/different colors.

Best to buy more dry rock and let the LR seed what you have.

The live rock you currently may have perhaps some type of red algae that will mostly likely die off, I hope. In the future I would buy your live rock from another source.

    Most definitely, I would wait.

Test for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. If you do not have the test kits get the water tested at the local fish store and plan on buying those test kits in the future.

I would also try a free photobucket account. If you need further assist let us know. In the long run it's better to bounce stuff off the forum than taking the advice of the local fish store, some are excellent, some will sell you anything.

Can you give a little more background info, like tank size, how long has it been running, equipment and test kits you have? Anything will help.

ok. I got the water tested twice and they said it was fine. It seems as if the red algae is falling off and i see it on my filter. And my crabs seem to be doing fine. But i will keep you updated.
