Little stripey worm??

So I noticed this little stripey worm sticking out of my mushroom colony recently. Any idea what these are? They seem to upset my mushroom just a little.

 

It's actually a brittle star leg. These are small brittle stars that are common hitch-hikers, they do not get much bigger and are harmless.

I thought that may be the case, but there was only one leg wiggling around. Thanks for the info though. And the Dotty Back love to get into photo's. Every time I approach the tank he comes out to say hi. Great fish!

 

Cheryl they are harmless unless you are rearranging your tank and find one crawling up your arm and mistake it for a Kraken then fling your coral across the room in an adrenaline induced panic. Otherwise they are good to have around.

Haha, yeah these little seastars are harmless. Or rather, they actually benefit your tank! They will scavenge for any leftover food. I litterally got HUNDREDS of them in my 20 gallon nano reef, they are everywhere, but i think they're awesome, haha
