Sure, or the LFS. they would have more options for bulbs more closely reflected to the colors most reefers use.

and yes, basically a freshwater light. They make actinic bulbs and a couple other colors that you could throw in there for some decent colors.

    Thanks!

I have a question. I see you have the same tank I got but yours is smaller. How did you like the marineland LED's? Have you seen the "reef capable" ones they got? I love How you tank looks, It give me an Idea on how I want to aproach things as I go.

Thanks for compliment. About the Marineland lights...stay away is the general advice given. They just arent as "capable" as others. The only LED fixtures I would look at would be, AI SOL (what i have), Ecotech Radion, and a DIY fixture from rapid Led, or maybe the new boostled units.

I look at the radion (I drooled) but is too much money for my right now. I may GO DIY since I Just need to buy the LED's and the drivers (maybe) and the rest I can take care of it at the machine shop I work. I may end up making the whole fixture from scrap and on a shape other than square or rect(if possible) we'll see.;D

Sorry for the kind of late reply. :)

I have the cfl bulbs in the clamp-on reflectors (about $6 each), which you can get at Wal Mart, or your hardware store. I forget how many watts they are. Let me go check.

Well it's nice to have a store you can purchase from near by. I learned so much more once I joined this forum though.

We also have some great sponsors here on 3reef. You should check them out.

    hahaaha :D
