    Ok, i need some help i have just a small 1 bulb normal light fixture i have some purple on my live rock and it has cycled but the rock still looks dead im going to up- grade the light but will it be ok.

    The coralline should be OK as long as it is not too much of change and the right spectrum. A 6500K bulb would wipe out most of your coralline IME.

    my light is just a floresant fixture like the one that comes with tanks when you buy one

    some sort of HO floresant but my budget cant go over $250.00

    What size tank and what type of corals do you want to keep?

    i have a 75g no corals yet but im planing on getting some in the future

    You will want a 4X54W fixture. Make sure it has at least a formed reflector if not individual reflectors. You might be able to save some cash using a retrofit kit. I think you will find it very difficult to stay under $250 though with a fixture and bulbs.

    There is nothing I would recommend in your price range.

    Current USA Nova Extreme is just outside your price range but it does not have a contoured reflector.

    48" Wavepoint T5 HO 4X54W

    Try this one you most likely will want to change bulbs in 6 months or less for higher quality bulbs but the fixture has good components.
