    Yes. Just switch the bulbs for Geismann or ATI and you can grow any coral you want.

    Depends on exactly what types of corals you plan to keep. Leathers, mushrooms, polyps, many LPS, and even some lower-light SPS should be fine with the OEM bulbs. For the full range of LPS, SPS or clams, I'd recommend changing. You can run the originals while you add the lower-light specimens, then switch later when they're due to be changed.

    What size would i want for a 55 gal a 48'' or a 36''?

    48", same as your tank.
