Awhile ago I purchased a Finnex 26w clip on light with a 50/50 compact flourescent bulb for my 4 gallon tank, but have now put it on my 5.5 gallon in hopes of being able to raise some Zoas, Mushrooms and maybe some LPS. Do y'all think this is sufficient or should I upgrade to some type of LED? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it is enough to good for most of the softies and maybe some LPS, but make sure you change the light bulb every few months

In a tank that small you could very well handle a few lps also. A a few may even say in a small take like a 5.5 you could keep sps. I wouldent really recommend it, but some would

For a small tank, you can only choose sofites or SPS, can't really mix the two as most softies hate strong water flow and SPS thrive with strong flow.
