    does anyone know anything about the hamilton lighting company? my lfs says he can get one for my tank about $400...didnt go into any details but i know him pretty well and he will give me a good deal. just wanted to know if anyone knew :)

    They make nice equipment but are pricey. I still prefer the corallife and orbit fixtures. They seem very well made and come with mounting legs for your tank where as (and correct me if I'm wrong) the Hamilton fixtures dont. I looked into the Hamilton fixtures several months ago.

    ya, the only reason why i am thinking about these is because my lfs usual supplier sells them not the orbit :( but the legs r ok because i entend on hanging it :) ....the only problem is that i dont think they r HQI...anyone know pros and cons of HQI vs reg bulb?

    It doesnt really matter which type you use. HQI I believe tend to be a little cheaper to replace though.
