    I know your concerned with your softies but they will do OK if you cut you photo period at the begining and slowly increase it

    yup, hey jason, what do you think of the new current orbit 48" one? it has 2 150 mh hqi and 2 pc...i think 130 wtt :)

    I voted no. Bruce seems to have a great tank, which from other posts is doing well. I don't understand this "more power" philosophy. What is it that we're trying to fix?

    well...i am just thinking that maybe my hard corals will do better with more lighting...i am still not 100% sure i am doing this...im about 50% and well...i am still worried

    Another yes vote Bruce. As Jason said,"Cut the photo period". You can also buy some bug screen or shade screen. Place several layers over the tank top. Remove a layer a week to help your corals acclimate to the new light. Also you might want to do some aquascaping to keep your "less" light demanding corals farther from the hallides.8)

    Go for it It was the best move I have made
    I realy like my sunpod by current, no atinics but 1400k bulbs and great moon lights

    ya i am thinking to defenitly do aquascaping...but my colt coral cannot be moved because it is attatched to so many rocks... :(
