    Right i have a question!

White lights and lights that are more towards the red end of the spectrum help algae bloom! Actinics predominately are used to aid with coral.

So my question is, if i just run nothing but my actinics for a period of time - would that kill all my algae whilst sustaining my light loving inverts?

I don't think so algae grows by photosynthes, so if there is light it will grow. Also any type of light will have a full spectrum of color just actinics are more toward the blue end.
