I am currently running a kessil 350w on this tank and after a few months I'm not seeing the growth I would like on some LPS corals and a clam that often times lays on its side when in the sand bed, not fully opening. I'm beginning to think my single kessil is just not enough. Any suggestion for an option on. 30" deep cube?

    Thanks all!

New Radion with 120 optics. Suppousedly that should give you 36x36 coverage, but that obviously depends on hanging height.

A club member here is running single AI SOL at 12" AWL on 30x30 cube. It works for him with his rock layout.

Hmmm, I'd like to see that. What are some other options?

How far of the water are you hanging it? I had a Clam under 14 inches of water and a kessil 150 close to the water. The Clam did fine.

It's right above the water seeing how my tank is 30" deep.

BTW, what kind of clam is it? Some clams need sand, while others need flat rock surface.

I was wondering about MH, does it matter 250w vs 400w?

For what it's worth, I'm using an 8 bulk ATI Powermodule over my 30x30x30 and it produces great light.

Depends on livestock mainly. 400W will let you do SPS/Clams anywhere in the tank. 250W might me limited at depth.
