    quick question i cant seem to keep my ph high or even above 8.0 are you using a controller ?

    no. but I do auto dose alk/ca/mg and this is what keeps my pH stable.

    My 90 Stony Reef as of 1/15/10

    Ca - 450
    Alk - 10dkh
    Mg - 1350
    SG - 1.025

    The rest I dont test for unless something freakish is going on.

    I run a PO4 reactor w/ aquaphos media, ESV Carbon in a sock, and do weekly water changes using ro water with oceanic salt.

    In a couple of weeks will have a refugium on my tank 8)

    ok so now im starting to see im not the only that doesnt bother with testing ammonia and etc but i do test for nitrate . good luck with the refugium im finally seeing good results from mine on my nitrates but my fuge has always keep my drangonet stuffed and my sand clean and algae free
