    i firgured this would be a good way to get people motivated to do those pita test so heres mine :

    salnity 1.024
    ph 8.0
    calcium 400-450
    dkh 9
    nitrate 20-25 ppm and be proud they were at 100 added some macros
    phosphates 0-.25
    nitrite 0
    ammonia 0
    magnesium 1300

    awesome , everybody whip the dusty kits out im thinking of picking up some sps coral ;) , hopefully i can get my nitrates to zero k+ to divott

    Ill be in it, but these are from last Sunday, I test weekly every Sunday

    SG - 1.026
    Temp - 26 C
    ammonia - not tested - tank 2 years old - I only dust this kit of now if something does not seem right.
    Nitrite - not tested - same reason as above
    Nitrate - 0 ,tested using Hippo and Nutrafin test kits ( double check as the 0 always amazes me)
    PO4 - 0 - running GFO 24/7 and have been for months now
    Calc - 460
    Mag - 1470
    DKH - 9
    PH - 8.23 (average reading - aquastar PH probe in tank for 10 mins or so)

    water change later today, levels will be tested again tomorrow

    thnx bio. how long did it take for your nitrates to drop like that after adding the macros?

    i have no idea when i did my testing last, for me if everything looks ok and nothings dying/loosing color i figure everything is aok but ill probably test this weekend sometime

    i test regularly and keep it logged.

    dKH 13 stable since early September
    Ca 440-460 stable since early July
    Mg 1480 stable since late July

    pH between 8.2 and 8.4 for every reading since mid July
    Sg 1.026 since September

    PO4 0 since December 08
    NO3/NO2/NH3 0 since October 08

    well lets see i added them rite before xmas and thats when they tested 100 so just about 3 weeks but understand im running mangroves chaeto caulerpa floridana codium sp. chaetomorpha assorted halimeda and red gracilaria and all growing nicely im afraid im gonna have to add more fish to keep up or keep feeding everyday maybe even twice lol
