    Hej all,

My T5 bulbs are up for replacement and if possible I would like to just upgrade to LED. I would like something that looks slick but performs, like the marineland units that's slim and now pretty affordable but performance is crap. I would like to avoid buying a kit and putting something together myself. Any suggestions? I have been thinking about 4 of rapid LEDs spot bulbs...

    Thanks in advance!

PAR38 bulbs, if you are handy with putting in some suspended light fixtures, are VERY good options--- particularly if you can raise/lower them to vary your intensity.

Second option, I'm partial to the Nano-box-reef.com premade fixtures but you'll pay extra for the slick housing and dimmability.

BTW I suspect for SPS and clams you would need more than 4 of those PAR38's, but 4 might cut it for softies and LPS.

Yeah the par38. I have seen a few tanks with them set up from hanging lamps. Looks nice, plus I work for IKEA, so I am sure I can find something to utilize. Any other suggestions are welcome!

In regards to the par38 bulbs, who has the best bang for the buck with proper quality?

I would think about maybe a boost mu fixture and 2 par 38s. This gives you the uvs and covers most of the tank with the mu but give you extra spread/control with the par38
