I am in the process of switching to LED from halide for heat reasons, but my opinion is based on expenses. You already have halides.....saves you a couple thousand dollars.

I've got my 300 DD reef with a Radion Pro in the center, a Chinese LED on the left and one Chinese on the right. The color and growth under the Radion is impressive. All of my Acans reverted to their original red color, which was important to me. SPS all have new growth and better color. I'm switching out the Chinese for Radions, no question.

You will have no problem using 250 watt metal halides at that depth.

    Thanks again for the input!

I more than likely will tear my 57 gallon down when I build the big beast; I will plan on using the metal halides and I may experiment using the Kessils on one section to see how they compare at that depth.
