Yea I believe that it is out now. I was at my LFS and was talking to the guys about it and they said it seemed to be doing pretty well but VERY expensive. They didnt have the tank very stocked and I cant really remember what was in there but I do remember seeing a bubble tip anenome that seemed healthy.

even tho they are expensive, surely they are energy efficient and save money in the long run. Plus surely they run cool?? this is invaluble in its self

The solaris LED are really quite nice, however I've tried the 24 inch model on a 29 gallon tank and it seems to work well with mostly soft corals and fish. The hard corals don't seem to like it that much. A few good points, my electricity bill has dropped over the month and there is a big difference in the amount of heat produced over the tank also before i forget, the moonlight, dusk/dawn and daytime lighting effects are a really positive feature. However being in a country like Jamaica where our electricity cycle is 50hz other than the American 60hz the lighting effects are always off schedule by 10 - 15 minutes a day. Oh well..!

I'd love to see pics of your tank with that light going when you have a chance! :)

Yikes, that is expensive, I actually didn't even look at the price page yet.
But I think the electricity and cooling would catch up like everyone says.

But alas, it comes down to fish health and not a full piggy bank...

    I will keep looking,,
