I have a 55 gallon fowlr tank. I would like to convert to reef. What is the best led fixture out there for the money. It is standard 48" tank. Brand and link well apreciated.

i think for mainly lps and softies your best bet would be a t5 fixture, led's are the best bang for your buck if you want a very high powered light capable of growing anything. if you simply want a marine tank with a couple softies and lps i would have to suggest a 2-4 bulb t5 fixture.

    What's your budget?
    Are you against a DIY?

But AI sols $399 I think are the easiest, but you'd need 2
Ecotech radians are awesome but $$$$$$$$, and i believe you'd need 2

Check out boostled.com MU series if ya wanna save some cash!

check out some of the build threads! Ya can get a plug and play DIY kit from rapidled and a typhoon controller form boost for just under $600 and be set with a TON of light and no limitations on growing anything!
