    Rather than create a bunch of new threads, I figured I'd just create my own tank thread. Some fun updates:

    One of my bubble tips anemones split. Now there are 4!

    And I've got some new corals: 2 new acan lords (one was a freebie) and a frag of candlelight acropora. One of the acan lords looks like a tie dye t-shirt to me. The other is hard to see, but it's basically black with a green mouth. The candles on the acro aren't exactly "on fire" yet, but they will be in time.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    All very nice. It's really hard not to get into Acans, they are more forgiving then Acropora.

    I moved the new acans to a position in front of the tank today. Man, it is hard to get epoxy putty to stick to the bottom of those little pedestals. It's not so attractive right now, but when they grow out, I expect the bases will be covered up.

    Ha ha, yes, they are forming an army. At some point, I will run out of space for that many . . .

    My hitchhiker brittle star, which usually stays under a rock and just displays the tips of his tentacles, came out during feeding last night. He's huge!

    Ok, civiccars, here goes!

    Specs:

    5-6 year old, established reef tank inherited from cousin, moved on 7/19/15 to my office
    100 gallon tank with 15? gallon sump
    Danner Model 7 sump pump
    Coralife UV steralizer
    Reef Dynamics SP2 Skimmer
    Jager 250 Watt heater
    2 Kessil A360WE LEDs with Kessil controller (7 AM to 6 PM with ramp up/down in the morning/evening)
    3 power heads (not sure of the make/model)
    Aragonite substrate

    Water Quality:

    I believe Seachem salt results in misleading alkalinity values (the subject of another thread) and high Ca/Mg levels. I'm switching to Red Sea starting tomorrow.

    Currently running conditioned tap (our water is very soft), with plans to switch to RO/DI
    Specific Gravity = 1.025-1.026
    Alkalinity = 12.6 dKH
    pH = 8.2
    Ca = 480 ppm
    Mg = 1540 ppm
    NO3 = 16 ppm and falling
    NH3 = 0
    NO2 = 0
    PO4 = 0.68 ppm and falling

    Maintenance:

    Daily dose of 12 mL NO3:pO4-X
    Weekly dose of 20 mL Acropower
    10 gallon weekly water change
    Every 3 days night feed scolymia mysis
    Every 2-3 weeks target feed acans and other corals with mysis and Reef Roids
    Daily scrub of the glass for algae
    Daily nori for 2 tangs
    2-3 times daily stress out over every aspect of the tank and panic that I'm not doing something right

    Livestock:

    1 oscilleris clown
    1 hippo tang
    1 yellow tang (deceased, screwed with the tank too much)
    1 chalk bass (deceased, jumped)
    1 sailfin tang with attitude
    1 royal gramma
    1 zebra goby
    1 anthia
    2 Kaudern's cardinalfish
    1 fire shrimp
    1 cleaner shrimp

    2 scarlet hermits
    several other hermits
    several snails
    1 hardworking conch snail

    2 large-ish acan lord colonies (orange/gray)
    1 small "tie dye" acan lord colony
    2 tiny acan lord colonies (black/green and orange/gray)
    1 acropora lokani
    1 bleeding apple scolymia
    Too many mushrooms
    1 candlelight acropora (from Aqua SD)
    All manner of amphipods, copepods, bristle worms, pineapple sponge, various other unidentified sponges, coralline, asterina starfish
