    I think you should start a 'natural' tank with some of that stuff! The water must be pretty clean. Nice sand too!

    Thanks Matt. I had thought of that but I really don't want a chiller. it would be hard to keep the water cold enough. It only gets to around 60 up here. But what a great day.

    My Wife said something interesting when I mentioned the Idea of a Northern Pacific. "Why do you have to capture something and stick it in a little glass box that you can enjoy it in its nature habitat."

    I agree, so the Northern Pacific tank Idea, although a good one, is dead

    Jakets-

    You'll find a lot of tidal critters can withstand higher temps (tidepools can get 80 degrees on a real hot day). Our bay is usaully below 50 and I've kept many items at room temp. Octopus, crabs, perches, snails, hermit and the likes, all have flourished at room temp tanks.
