Do I need to order the plug separate from the wavemaker unit? I wasn't sure why that was listed....it looks like there is a plug on the actual thing. Sorry for the probably "mr. obvious" question.....

It will usually ask what country you are in so they can send you the correct plug.So yes it comes with the plug.:)

Yeah they will ask what country you are in so you get the correct one. I think you will like that pump, I have one of the 25s and love it. Actually I have a pair of the 25s, I bought one as a backup. I got them about a month ago in a group buy and got a pair for $65 a piece, the company doing the group buy said it was going to be the last one at those prices, the price went up, and I figure they are going to go up again.

I have the 40 and I just love it. I can make 2 inch waves on the oposite side of the tank 5feet away. ha dit hooked up for 3 months now and I highly recommend it to anyone who asks me about it.

Great powerheads for larger tanks. I tried one in my 60" long 100G and it was too powerful even on the lower speeds so I sold it and used two WP-25's instead. Love the random flows!

    Yes.
Take a look at the physical size of the 40 vs 20.
Here is a WP-40, Hydor Evolutions (550 to 1500 all the same size), WP-25, and a Hydor Nano (240 and 425 same size) . The 25 puts out more water than the Evo 1400 did. The 40 is pretty darn big and even on the lowest speed setting I could not keep it from moving sand at the opposite end of the tank. I even have the 25's maxxed at 75% in my 100G and pointed more towards the surface.
