My rose BTA is coming today!!! I'm so excited! My tank guy is bringing it and he should be here in 15 minutes or so.

I'm so nervous but so excited! I'll take photos as soon as he leaves and my rosie is in the tank.

    Iy yi yi.

What can I expect from a new nem? How do I know it is just acclimating and it's not something worse?

This nem is about 10 inches - so could definitely cause water problems if it died (not assuming this will happen!).

Congratz. Im no expert on nems, but your tank seems to be well suited for one. Cant wait for pics.

IMO Anems should not be acclimated for excessive amounts of time. Put him in an area of decent flow near the bottom and let him decide where he is going to live. Dont touch for a few weeks. let him get used to his new home.

I will! The tank is being cleaned, so after the water clears I'll get some shots :)

    Thanks for the tips!

    Congrats!!!

I'm sure it will be fine but to answer your question, watch for a gaping mouth or extruding its digestive filaments.
